Fluxys today launches a brand refresh to better express how the company matters to society: “Shaping together a bright energy future”.
This partnership between GRTgaz and Fluxys builds on the consultations conducted in France and Belgium in 2021-2022 to assess market players' hydrogen transmission needs. As such, the two gas transmission system operators have decided to launch a call for developing an open-access, cross-border network for the transmission of low-carbon hydrogen in Hainaut, more specifically between the areas of Valenciennes in France and Mons in Belgium.

From June 10th until July 1st, Fluxys LNG has offered 24 additional long-term regasification slots for the period 2027-2044. The outcome of the subscription window was positive with all offered capacity subscribed on the long term.
On June 24th, the Council of the European Union adopted a 14th sanctions package against Russia. Fluxys LNG, the Zeebrugge terminal operator, 100% subsidiary of the listed company Fluxys Belgium, has adapted its operational rules to be fully compliant with the adopted sanctions which will be applicable to the existing contracts as from March 26 2025.

GASCADE and Fluxys have applied to the European Commission for Project of Common Interest (PCI) status for the AquaDuctus project, marking a major step forward in their plans for an offshore pipeline for green hydrogen in the North Sea. The move by the two infrastructure operators highlights the project's importance for the hydrogen ramp-up.
Publi-T and Fluxys SA are pleased to announce the incorporation of NextGrid Holding SA. This new subsidiary is intended to hold in the future the shares that Publi-T owns in the Elia Group, and to participate in future capital increases.

Following an invitation to become an anchor investor in the coming IPO process on the Muscat stock exchange, Fluxys has committed to acquire a 4.9% stake in OQGN, the state-owned transmission system operator. The partnership is further strengthened by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Fluxys and OQGN to explore areas of strategic cooperation in the development of Oman’s hydrogen and CO2 infrastructure.

On 8 December 2022 the EU Commission has announced it will grant Fluxys Belgium, North Sea Port and ArcelorMittal Belgium €9,6 million under the Connecting Europe Facility for Energy (CEF-E) funding program. The funding is earmarked for the study of the Ghent Carbon Hub project, an open-access multi modal CO₂ storage and liquefaction terminal in North Sea Port combined with a CO₂ pipeline network connecting the Walloon region to the hub in Ghent.
The French and Belgian energy infrastructure companies, GRTgaz and Fluxys hydrogen, a subsidiary of Fluxys Belgium, announce the launch of a market call to assess the needs and economic interest for the creation of an ‘open acces’ hydrogen transport infrastructure between France and Belgium.
The EU Commission announced it will grant Air Liquide, Fluxys Belgium and Port of Antwerp-Bruges €144.6 million under the Connecting Europe Facility for Energy (CEF-E) funding program. The funding is earmarked for the construction of shared CO₂ transport and export facilities on the Antwerp port platform. The grant award is a major step towards the final investment decision, expected in 2023.
TAP shareholders Fluxys and Enagás have jointly agreed to purchase co-shareholder Axpo’s 5% stake in the pipeline. Fluxys will acquire 1% and Spain’s Enagás 4% of Axpo’s stake. Both companies will thus become 20% partner in TAP like the other shareholders Snam (Italy), bp (UK) and SOCAR (Azerbaijan).
Infrastructure partner Fluxys Belgium started today, in the presence of Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and Federal Minister of Energy Tinne Van der Straeten, the construction of the first dual-purpose pipeline. Initially this pipeline between Zeebrugge and Brussels will greatly increase the capacity for the security of supply of Belgium and neighbouring countries. In addition, this pipeline is ready for use to transport hydrogen. Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and Energy Minister Tinne Van der Straeten visited the site in Lokeren (East Flanders) today, where pipes with a diameter of 1 metre are pushed under the road surface.
Regional cluster organizations WaterstofNet and Cluster Tweed today launched the Belgian Hydrogen Council (BHC) to consolidate and strengthen Belgium’s position in Europe and on the global stage as a pioneering hub of excellence for clean hydrogen. The eight CEOs who make up the Board of the Council met for the first time today in Brussels.
Fluxys has agreed to acquire from Macquarie Asset Management its c. 24% stake in Open Grid Europe (“OGE”), the largest transmission system operator in Germany. The acquisition fits perfectly with Fluxys’ strategy to be the essential infrastructure partner for speeding up the energy transition.
