Fluxys Deutschland GmbH is a 100% Fluxys group company. We combine our international expertise with close customer interaction to provide high-level services for their supplies into Germany and the markets beyond. Through our participation in the Nordeuropäische Gasleitung (NEL) and the Europäische Gas-Anbindungsleitung (EUGAL) we strengthen security of supply in Germany and in the neighbouring markets.
The transmission network of Fluxys Deutschland
Fluxys Deutschland has stakes in the NEL and EUGAL pipelines:
Fluxys Deutschland has a 23.87 % stake in the NEL pipeline. The other partners are NEL Gastransport GmbH with a 51 % share and Gasunie Deutschland Transport Services GmbH with 25.13 %. NEL Gastransport GmbH is the technical operator of the NEL pipeline.
In the EUGAL pipeline, Fluxys Deutschland has a 16.5 % stake. In addition, GASCADE Gastransport GmbH (50.5 %), Gasunie Deutschland Transport Services GmbH (16.5 %) and ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH (16.5 %) hold shares in this pipeline. The EUGAL pipeline was designed and built by GASCADE Gastransport GmbH; GASCADE is also the technical operator.

Fluxys Deutschland is a cooperation partner of the market area Trading Hub Europe (THE). In this Germany-wide market area, THE is responsible for the management of balancing groups and procures system balancing tools. Fluxys Deutschland markets its transport capacities via the PRISMA gas capacity trading platform. PRISMA is the major marketplace in Europe for booking and trading gas transport capacities at both primary and secondary market levels. Through the Association of Transmission System Operators Gas e.V. (FNB Gas), Fluxys Deutschland participates in the joint work on the Gas Network Development Plan (NEP Gas). The NEP Gas is published every two years; the 2022 issue will also include, for the first time, a hydrogen transport network modelled on the basis of a market survey.
