About Fluxys c-grid Antwerp
Fluxys c-grid Antwerp is a CO₂ network operator established by Fluxys Belgium together with Pipelink and Air Liquide to serve local industry’s decarbonisation needs with an open-access CO₂ pipeline system in the Antwerp port area.
Our mission
Provide reliable, competitive and scalable CO₂ management for the industry, supporting CCUS deployment to achieve the decarbonisation targets, and help maintain industrial activity and employment.
Our partnership structure
Fluxys c-grid Antwerp was established in 2025 as a subsidiary of Fluxys Belgium, which holds a majority stake of 70%. Partners Pipelink and Air Liquide respectively hold a 20% and 10% stake in Fluxys c-grid Antwerp.
CO₂ network operator across Belgium
In the Port of Antwerp, Fluxys c-grid Antwerp has been appointed as the Local Carbon Network Operator (LCNO) in the beginning of 2026. In this capacity, and in close partnership with industrial stakeholders in the port area, we can start to develop and build the open access CO₂ network which will connect local industrial emitters to the proposed exit point and the wider Belgian and international CO₂ transport systems.
With Fluxys c‑grid appointed in 2025 as the operator of the CO₂ transport networks in both Wallonia and Flanders, together, we are positioned to develop and operate the CO₂ transport infrastructure across Belgium. The open-access pipeline network will be built in line with the development of the market and will connect industrial CO₂ emitters to CO₂ exit points, giving access to permanent storage sites in the North Sea.
This enables us to support society in achieving efficient carbon management by providing industry in the Port of Antwerp, across Belgium, and in neighbouring European countries with the CO₂ transport infrastructure they need.
Let’s shape together a bright energy future!
