About Fluxys c-grid
Fluxys c-grid is a CO₂ network operator established by Fluxys Belgium together with Pipelink, SOCOFE and SFPIM to serve the decarbonisation requirements of industry by providing an open-access CO₂ pipeline system in Belgium.
Our mission
To provide reliable, competitive and scalable CO₂ management for industry, while supporting the deployment of a CCUS value chain to achieve decarbonisation targets, and safeguarding industrial activity and employment.
Our partnership structure
Fluxys c-grid was established in 2023 as a subsidiary of Fluxys Belgium, which holds a majority stake of 77.5%. Partners Pipelink and SOCOFE each have a 10% stake, while SFPIM holds a 2.5% stake.
CO₂ network operator across Belgium
Following our appointment as the operator of the Walloon and Flemish regional CO₂ transport networks in 2025, Fluxys c-grid is set to develop and operate the CO₂ transport infrastructure across Belgium. This means that we can support society in achieving efficient carbon management by providing industry with the appropriate CO₂ transport infrastructure.
In the Port of Antwerp, Fluxys c-grid Antwerp has been appointed as the Local Carbon Network Operator (LCNO). In this capacity, and in close partnership with industrial stakeholders in the port area, we will develop and operate the open access CO₂ network which will connect local industrial emitters to the proposed exit point and the wider Belgian and international CO₂ transport systems.
The open-access pipeline network in both regions will be built in line with the development of the market and will connect industrial CO₂ emitters to CO₂ exit points, giving access to permanent storage sites in the North Sea.
