A milestone for the energy transition: The German Federal Network Agency has today approved the construction of the nationwide hydrogen core network. With an investment volume of 18.9 billion euros, the largest hydrogen network in Europe will be created by 2032, becoming an important pillar of the climate-neutral energy system of the future.

Een groep van elf Europese gasinfrastructuurbedrijven waaronder Fluxys Belgium hebben een plan uitgewerkt voor een specifieke waterstof-vervoersinfrastructuur. Uit nieuw onderzoek blijkt dat bestaande gasinfrastructuur kan worden aangepast om waterstof betaalbaar te vervoeren.
Vandaag heeft het Gas for Climate consortium zijn paper over regelgeving rond waterstof gepubliceerd. Het document bundelt de visie van 11 gasvervoersnetbeheerders over de manier waarop EU-wetgeving kan helpen in heel Europa een specifieke waterstofleidingeninfrastructuur te bouwen.
Antwerp@C, een initiatief van Air Liquide, BASF, Borealis, ExxonMobil, INEOS, TotalEnergies, Fluxys en Port of Antwerp heeft de ambitie om de inspanningen van de industrie te ondersteunen om de CO2 uitstoot in de Antwerpse haven richting 50% te verminderen tegen 2030 door de bouw van een gemeenschappelijke CO2-infrastructuur. Met de start van de engineering bereikt het project nu een nieuwe mijlpaal op weg naar duurzamere, koolstofarmere productie in de haven van Antwerpen.
Met deze steun neemt Antwerp@C een nieuwe kaap en ziet het project zijn ambitie versterkt om tegen 2030 potentieel de CO2-emissies in de haven tot de helft terug te brengen.
Buren worden strategische partners: Dow, een van de wereldleiders in materiaalkunde, neemt een minderheidsdeelneming over in de Hanseatic Energy Hub GmbH. Het bestaande consortium van Fluxys, Partners Group en Buss Group plant een invoerterminal voor vloeibaar aardgas (liquefied natural gas – LNG) te bouwen op het industrieterrein van Stade.
Op woensdag 4 oktober 2023 nam Fluxys Belgium deel aan een event met als onderwerp "Decarbonisatie, flexibiliteit en energietransitie in de industrie van Henegouwen". Het evenement was het resultaat van een partnerschap tussen de netbeheerders (Elia, Fluxys en ORES), CENEO, de intercommunale voor energiefinanciering van de provincie Henegouwen, en de agentschappen voor regionale ontwikkeling (IDEA, IDETA en IGRETEC).
Fluxys en OQGN ondertekenden vandaag een Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) om de strategische samenwerking te verkennen bij de ontwikkeling van waterstof- en CO2-infrastructuurprojecten in Oman. Vandaag vond ook de eerste notering plaats van OQGN-aandelen op de Muscat Stock Exchange in Oman. In het kader van de beursgang van OQGN heeft Fluxys als “anchor investor” een belang van 4,9% genomen in OQGN.

In the continuity of previous years, Fluxys Belgium is pleased to announce that the remaining Priority Booster Capacity for Storage Year 2026-2027, consisting of interruptible injection and withdrawal rights, will be offered to the market through a storage auction window.
Additionally, the remaining Standard Bundled Units (SBU) for Storage Year 2026-2027 will be available on FCFS basis as from Monday 30 March 2026.
The Auction Window will take place from Monday 30 March 2026 at 14:00 CET to Tuesday 31 March 2026 at 14:00 CET.
The Belgian State Visit to Norway in March 2026 came at a significant moment for Europe’s energy system and supply. The visit highlights the growing strategic importance of cooperation between Belgium and Norway, particularly in the fields of security of supply, decarbonisation and energy infrastructure. For Fluxys, the visit underlines Norway’s central role as a long-standing and future-oriented partner across natural gas, offshore energy and CO₂ infrastructure.
In June, Dunkerque LNG carried out its first BioLNG loading onto a Molgas tanker. We are thus contributing to the decarbonisation of heavy transport, whether by land or sea.
