    Environment

    Certification and Compliance

To maintain our social responsibility goals for environmental performance and sustainability we subscribe to certification schemes in the UK and Belgium. We comply with the UK Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010 and with the Belgian VLAREM II regulations.

We are committed to reducing greenhouse and other gas emissions from our facilities. Bacton emissions are within our environmental permit regulation targets for natural gas, oxides of nitrogen, carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide. Zeebrugge emission concentration levels are within the VLAREM II environmental legislation requirements.

We actively manage and monitor our waste materials. All waste disposals at Bacton and Zeebrugge are carried out by approved and certified waste contractors in accordance with legislation.
