TENP Pipeline Info

LNG Gateway for Germany

With the Eynatten cross-border interconnection point, the TENP pipeline provides access to the LNG terminals of the Fluxys Group in Zeebrugge (Belgium) and Dunkerque (France). It thus already enables efficient LNG transport to Germany and opens up the possibility for our customers to diversify their supply portfolio for the German market.

Bidirectional gas transport

Reverse Flow investments

Since 2018, the TENP pipeline transports gas not only from North to South Europe, but also in the reverse direction. This reversal of the transport system strengthens the security of supply in Germany and Switzerland and connects the Italian virtual gas hub PSV with the gas trading hubs in north-western Europe. In addition, the bidirectional connection increases liquidity in the European gas market and opens up new opportunities for our transport customers to trade with natural gas.

Deodorisation plant

In December 2020, a deodorisation plant near Schwörstadt (Baden-Württemberg) was taken into operation. If necessary, the plant can separate odorants from gas fed into the TENP pipeline from Switzerland or France, in order to comply with the sulphur and odorant concentration limit values applicable in Germany. The deodorisation plant thus contributes significantly to making the TENP transport system more flexible.
