Issue 8 of Interconnector's Access Rules Approved

Nieuws

Interconnector is pleased to confirm that INT’s National Regulatory Authorities (“NRAs”), Ofgem and CREG, have now approved the amendments to INT’s Access Rules and Charging Methodology, which were consulted on in October 2021. In line with the decisions of each NRA these new versions will come into effect from 12 April 2022.

Issue 8 of the Interconnector Access Agreement and Interconnector Access Code introduce additional flexibility measures to INT’s Implicit Allocation;

Increase in volume of Capacity offered via IAM

INT will now offer up to 90% of its Firm and Conditional Firm Capacity for the current Gas Year via IAM and 80% of its Firm and Conditional Firm Capacity for future Gas Years. Following the close of the CAM NC Annual Auction each July on PRISMA, INT may increase the volume of capacity offered via IAM for the following Gas Year to 90%. All of INT’s available, technical capacity will continue to be offered via the CAM NC auctions on PRISMA.

Reduction in suspension period ahead of PRISMA Auctions

INT will now upload its available capacity for the Annual, Quarterly and Monthly CAM auctions to the PRISMA platform 3 gas days in advance of the relevant auction. This means that the remaining available capacity for Annual, Quarterly and Monthly PRISMA auctions will be uploaded by 14:00 on the Thursday preceding the start of the relevant auction. INT will continue to offer the equivalent capacity products via IAM until 12:00 UKT on the Thursday preceding the start of the relevant auction.

From 12 April, this means for May Monthly Capacity, INT will be making up to 90% of its Firm capacity available via IAM until 12:00 UKT Thursday 14 April.
