From 15 October to 8 November 2021, Fluxys Belgium is holding a market consultation regarding the regulatory documents applicable for transmission.
Based on the mixed feedback received during the consultation on the proposals aimed at simplifying the Zeebrugge Area and the arrangements relating to the Interconnection Point with Interconnector, have Fluxys Belgium and Interconnector concluded that the current timing for revising its market model is not right, and have therefore decided to put this initiative on hold. This means that both the ZTP Physical and Notional trading services will remain, as will the Zeeplatform and the interconnection points at Zeebrugge and IZT.

Today, the Gas for Climate consortium published an Action Plan to rapidly implement the targets set out in the European Commission’s REPowerEU communication. The paper presents immediate actions aimed at accelerated scale-up and integration of renewable gases in Europe. Brussel, 5 februari 2019 - Fluxys en Titan LNG slaan de handen in mekaar voor de bouw van FlexFueler 002, een bunkeringponton om vloeibaar aardgas (LNG) als scheepsbrandstof ruimer beschikbaar te maken in de Antwerpse haven en regio. Het ponton gaat in de tweede helft van 2020 in gebruik en zal de scheepvaart ondersteunen in de omschakeling naar een schoner emissieprofiel. Titan LNG wordt de langetermijn-operator van het ponton.
Met ruim 150 deelnemers was de tweede editie van het Fluxys Forum op 18 maart een groot succes. Thema van de dag: de rol van gas en gasinfrastructuur in een koolstofneutrale toekomst.
• Nieuwe studie toont aan dat een slimme combinatie van waterstof en biomethaan met elektriciteit de beste oplossing is voor een koolstofneutraal energiesysteem dat uiteindelijk volledig op hernieuwbare energiebronnen zal functioneren.
• Door ongeveer 2900 TWh of 270 miljard kubieke meter (equivalent aardgas) groene waterstof en hernieuwbaar methaan te vervoeren in de bestaande gasinfrastructuur in de EU bespaart de samenleving tegen 2050 jaarlijks € 217 miljard vergeleken met een energiesysteem met een minimaal aandeel voor gas.
• De productiekosten van waterstof, biomethaan en synthetisch methaan kunnen aanzienlijk worden verlaagd.
Het project Antwerp@C mikt erop om met toepassingen voor het afvangen en hergebruiken of opslaan van CO2 op redelijk korte termijn en tegen draagbare kosten CO2 uit de atmosfeer te houden en daarmee een belangrijke bijdrage te leveren tot de klimaatdoelstellingen. Deze week dienden Fluxys, Port of Antwerp, Total en Air Liquide Europese subsidiedossiers in om opnieuw een stap verder te zetten in het project.
