Fluxys Belgium: Storage Auction for SBUs 2026 - 2027
Following the latest Subscription Window for Yearly & Long Term Storage Services which took place in March 2026 and given the need to fill European storage facilities ahead of the winter, particularly in the current geopolitical context, Fluxys Belgium is organizing an Auction for its remaining Golden SBUs for Storage Year 2026-2027.
In this auction, Fluxys is offering 57 458 Golden SBUs for the remainder of storage year 2026-2027, with the service period 1 May 2026 - 31 March 2027.
As a reminder, a golden Standard Bundled Unit (SBU) is a storage bundle with the following characteristics:
This Auction will take place via a dedicated Auction Website.
You can find an auction manual on the Auction Website, that stepwise describes how the auction website works.
A dedicated info-session for Storage Users covering the product on offer, the auction tool and the allocation mechanism will be organized on Thursday 23 April 2026 at 11:00 AM CET.

- Maximum Bid Quantity: 57 458 Golden SBUs
- Ascending Clock: Ascending Clock
- Starting price: Will be communicated on Wed 22/04 and explained during the info-session on Thu 23/04
- Major Price Step: Will be communicated on Wed 22/04 and explained during the info-session on Thu 23/04
- Minor Price Step: Will be communicated on Wed 22/04 and explained during the info-session on Thu 23/04
- The duration of each round is 3 minutes, with a 2-minute break between consecutive rounds.

How can you take part in the auction?
In order to take part in this auction, you must acknowledge the Terms & Conditions and provide us with the following documents by Monday 27 April 2026 COB (4:00 PM CET) via info.storage@fluxys.com.
- Power of Attorney (see schedule 1 in Terms & Conditions). This includes evidence that the person signing the document is authorized to represent the company); and
- Proof that the signatories of the Power of Attorney have the power to act on behalf of the Participant
- Which bidder will represent your company in which auction, note that only this (principal) Bidder will be accepted to take part in such auction
Note that in order to take part in this Auction Window, you need to have signed a Standard Storage Agreement (SSA).
By Tuesday 28 April 2026 noon (12:00 PM CET), Fluxys Belgium will confirm to each participant whether he is admitted to the auction and send his login for the Auction Website.
For the avoidance of doubt, even if you have participated in previous selling windows, you need to provide us the above-mentioned documents, otherwise you will not be allowed to participate in the upcoming auction.
In case of any issue with the Auction Website during the Auction encountered by Fluxys Belgium, Fluxys Belgium will inform participants about the closure of the ongoing Auction and will reopen the Auction on a later moment beginning again at the initial Starting Price.
In case of any issue with the Auction Website, before the Auction encountered by a Participant, Participant can make use of this fallback bidding form by submitting a written bid to info.storage@fluxys.com and Fluxys Belgium will inform before the start of the Auction all Participants whether the duration of the Rounds and/or the duration between 2 Rounds will be revised. Once the auction is started, any fallback bidding form should be sent within the announced duration of a Round.
