2026 - Market Consultation 3: Fluxys c-grid and Fluxys c-grid Antwerp standard agreements
Fluxys c-grid and Fluxys c-grid Antwerp hereby publish their Standard CO2 Transmission Agreements and Connection Agreement for consultation with interested stakeholders.
Following the conclusion of this market consultation and the assessment of all comments and feedback received from stakeholders, a formal process will be initiated with the competent regulatory authorities with a view to obtaining approval of the agreements.
At this stage, preliminary and informal exchanges have taken place with the regulatory authorities on certain elements of the Standard CO2 Transmission Agreement and the Connection Agreement. These exchanges are not finalised and do not constitute approval, endorsement, or informal agreement by the regulatory authorities on the content of the proposed agreements. Any regulatory assessment or approval will take place exclusively within the framework of the formal approval process.
Fluxys c-grid Standard CO2 Transmission Agreement contains the terms and conditions for Fluxys c-grid to transport CO2 delivered by the shipper within the Flemish and Walloon regions. Although separate agreements will apply per region, the contractual terms will be aligned. Before submission for approval by the competent regulatory authorities, this agreement will be transformed into one specific agreement for the Walloon region and one for the Flemish region. The envisaged differences between the version for the Walloon region and the version for the Flemish region are indicated between brackets in the Fluxys c-grid Standard CO2 Transmission Agreement.
Fluxys c-grid Antwerp Standard CO2 Transmission Agreement contains the terms and conditions for Fluxys c-grid Antwerp to transport CO2 delivered by the shipper within the local cluster covering the area of the port of Antwerp . This Agreement is identical to the Fluxys c-grid Standard CO2 Transmission Agreement but has been adapted for the local cluster. Therefore, the main only changes are as follows:
- CNO becomes LCNO
- CO2 network becomes Local CO2 network
- A definition of “Antwerp Local Cluster” has been included
These Transmission Agreements refer to the Fluxys c‑grid (Antwerp) Connection Agreement that the Carbon Network Operator must conclude with a network user connected to the CO2 Network before CO2 is transferred into or out of the network.
