Fluxys LNG - Recondenser Liquefaction Long Term Capacity 2026 on sale via auction on December 9th 2025
Following the modification of the biomethane liquefaction services at the Zeebrugge LNG Terminal, Fluxys LNG will organize the sale of Recondenser Liquefaction Long Term Capacity for the year 2026 on December 9th 2025 10h (CET).
The offered capacity is 64 800 MWh/quarter (HHV). Bids for a lower capacity will be accepted but not for a shorter period than one year. Bids will thus be taken as valid for the 4 quarters of the year(*).
(*) Example :
Shipper X bids 9000 MWh/quarter at the auction round of price level 3 €/MWh.
If the auction ends at this price level, shipper X is allocated:
- 9000 MWh for Q1 2026
- 9000 MWh for Q2 2026
- 9000 MWh for Q3 2026
- 9000 MWh for Q4 2026
Shipper X is charged 9000 * 4 * 3 = 108 000 €, via 12 monthly invoices of 9000 €.
For the period 14/12/2025 to 13/12/2026, the emission from processing of recondenser liquefaction has been calculated at 0.28 gCO2eq/MJ, a conservative Low Heating Value (LHV) to High Heating Value (HHV) ratio has been fixed to 0.90117 and the gas loss factor for conversion remains at 0.13 kJ/MJ.
The auction will start at 10h Belgian time and will take place via the following dedicated Auction Website.

Please note that prior to take part in this Auction, you need to have signed the LNG Terminalling Agreement (LTA) and be certified under ISCC EU as “trader with storage” or under another EU recognised voluntary scheme which is compatible for Biomethane and Bio-LNG with the Processing Unit role of Fluxys LNG under ISCC EU.

If you have already signed our T&C - LNG Auctions version July 2023, and you want to participate in the upcoming auction, please provide us by December 5th COB with:
- Which Bidder will represent your company in the Auction, note that only this (principal) Bidder will be accepted to take part in the Auction,
- If you wish to add a new Bidder for your company which is not yet registered, send us a signed version of Schedule 1 T&Cs – Power of Attorney,
- In case of any changes on the company's official Power of Attorney, proving that the signatories of the above Power of Attorney have the power to act on behalf of your company, also a new version of your company's official Power of Attorney.
If you have not signed the current version of our T&Cs – LNG Auctions (version July 2023), please inform and send us by December 5th COB:
- Duly signed Form of Acknowledgement (page 1) together with the other pages of these Terms & Conditions ("T&C LNG Auctions") initialed from page 0 to page 7 included,
- A signed version of Schedule 1 T&Cs – Power of Attorney,
- The company's official Power of Attorney, proving that the signatories of the above Power of Attorney have the power to act on behalf of your company,
- Which Bidder will represent your company in the Auction, note that only this (principal) Bidder will be accepted to take part in the Auction.
On December 8th, Fluxys LNG will confirm whether Participant to the Terms & Conditions is admitted and send login and password of the Auction Platform to any new Bidder(s).

How will the Recondenser Liquefaction Long Term Capacity 2026 be allocated?
Th Recondenser Liquefaction Long Term capacity 2026 will be allocated via the Ascending Clock Algorithm:
- The starting price is the regulated tariff for Recondenser Liquefaction. Find the regulated tariff for Recondenser Liquefaction and other LNG services here. The Major Price Step is by default 0.5 €/MWh, the Minor Price Step is by default 0.1 €/MWh,
- The duration of 1 Round is 3 minutes and between 2 Rounds there is a duration of 2 minutes,
- The allocation mechanism is described here.
If unallocated Recondenser Liquefaction Long Term capacity remain after the auction process, this capacity will be recovered and offered at the Recondenser Liquefaction Short Term Auctions of 2026 according to the applicable crediting rules under ISCC EU.
