The first site in Wallonia for the injection of biomethane into the gas network is now operational. This is a major step forward that not only contributes to Wallonia’s energy transition process, but also to the construction of a new model for the circular economy.
In accordance with the decree on the transport of carbon dioxide via pipelines in the Walloon Region dated 28 March 2024, the Walloon Government today, on the proposal of Walloon Minister of Energy Cécile Neven, appointed Fluxys c-grid as the operator responsible for the development and management of a CO₂ transport network in Wallonia.

Infrastructure partner Fluxys Belgium today unveiled its BE-HyStore pilot project to store hydrogen in the underground in Loenhout, at an event attended by Federal Minister of the Economy and Employment Pierre-Yves Dermagne and Federal Minister of Energy Tinne Van der Straeten. With 40 years of expertise in underground natural gas storage, Fluxys is now testing the possibilities of storing hydrogen in an underground aquifer.

The planned dates for our 2016 annual maintenance are now available. We propose to shut down at 05:00 on 15 June 2016 for a period of 15 days, resuming flow at 05:00 on 30 June 2016. See our media release for further information.

Planned annual maintenance in November has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for later in Gas Year 2020.
