REMIT data to be provided to ACER for connection points that can technically consume more than 600 GWH per year

ACER (the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators) and the national energy regulators work closely together to protect energy markets against abuse (insider trading, market manipulation, etc.). Increased transparency and supervision help strengthen confidence that energy markets function properly for EU businesses and citizens and that prices are set fairly.

The Regulation on wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT) provides the European framework for protecting wholesale energy markets against abuse and ensuring open and fair competition. In this context, Fluxys Belgium, as the transmission system operator, is required to report various data to ACER on a daily basis.

This reporting concerns (re)nominations and allocations) and relates only to commercial connection points (sites) on our gas network that could technically consume more than 600 GWh of natural gas per year.

This threshold is therefore not based on the actual consumption or the subscribed capacity, but on the maximum technical consumption capacity of each site.

If your site(s) meet this criterion, we kindly request that you complete this form before 30 November, and return it to info.transport@fluxys.com. For information purposes, Fluxys Belgium uses an EIC code to identify sites. Please ensure that the correct EIC code is included in the response form.

If we do not receive a reply before this date, we will assume that the situation of your site(s) remains unchanged compared to last year, and/or that your site has a technical consumption capacity of less than 600 GWh per year.
