REMIT data to be provided to ACER for connection points that can technically consume more than 600 GWH per year

ACER (the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators) and the national energy regulators work closely together to protect energy markets against abuse (insider trading, market manipulation, etc.). Increased transparency and supervision help strengthen confidence that energy markets function properly for EU businesses and citizens and that prices are set fairly.

The Regulation on wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT) provides the European framework for protecting wholesale energy markets against abuse and ensuring open and fair competition. In this context, Fluxys Belgium, as the transmission system operator, is required to report various data to ACER on a daily basis.

This data ((re)nominations and allocations) relates only to commercial connection points (sites) on our gas network that could technically consume more than 600 GWh per year.

Therefore, it is neither the actual consumption nor the subscribed capacity, but rather the technical consumption capacity of each site. As we do not have access to this information, we are calling on your kind cooperation.

To comply with European regulations, we therefore ask you to complete this form before 30 November, indicating which of your sites have a technical consumption capacity of more than 600 GWh per year, and return it to info.transport@fluxys.com.

If we do not receive a response before this date, we will assume that the situation of your site has not changed compared with the previous year with regard to the above-mentioned regulation, or that your site has a technical consumption capacity of less than 600 GWh per year.

For the identification of the commercial connection point, Fluxys Belgium must use an EIC code. You can find the list of these codes here. Please also use this code in your response form.
