Based on the mixed feedback received during the consultation on the proposals aimed at simplifying the Zeebrugge Area and the arrangements relating to the Interconnection Point with Interconnector, have Fluxys Belgium and Interconnector concluded that the current timing for revising its market model is not right, and have therefore decided to put this initiative on hold. This means that both the ZTP Physical and Notional trading services will remain, as will the Zeeplatform and the interconnection points at Zeebrugge and IZT.

Today, the Gas for Climate consortium published an Action Plan to rapidly implement the targets set out in the European Commission’s REPowerEU communication. The paper presents immediate actions aimed at accelerated scale-up and integration of renewable gases in Europe. Bruxelles, 5 février 2019 – Fluxys et Titan LNG unissent leurs forces pour construire le FlexFueler 002, un ponton de soutage destiné à accroître la disponibilité du gaz naturel liquéfié (GNL) en tant que carburant maritime au port d'Anvers et dans sa région. Le ponton entrera en service au second semestre 2020 et soutiendra l'industrie du transport maritime dans sa transition vers des opérations plus écologiques. Titan LNG sera l'opérateur du ponton à long terme.
Avec plus de 150 participants, la deuxième édition du Fluxys Forum du 18 mars fut un grand succès. Le thème de la journée : le rôle du gaz et de son infrastructure dans un avenir neutre en carbone.
• L'étude publiée aujourd'hui démontre qu'une association intelligente d'hydrogène et de biométhane avec l'électricité représente la méthode optimale en vue de décarboniser le système énergétique qui à terme deviendra totalement renouvelable.
• Injecter environ 2 900 TWh ou approximativement 270 mia m3 (équivalent gaz naturel) d'hydrogène vert et de méthane renouvelable dans l'infrastructure gazière existante dans l’UE permettrait à la société d'économiser, d'ici 2050, 217 milliards € par an, comparé à un système énergétique utilisant une quantité minimale de gaz.
