No less than 13 vessels moored at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal in May 2019, setting a new monthly record since commissioning of the facility in 1987. Truck loading at the facility saw a new all-time high as well.

During first quarter, a record 72 ship operation took place at the Zeebrugge terminal. Both February and March broke the record number of ships per month.

2019 was very intense at the Zeebrugge LNG Terminal. Thanks to a lot of operations, the results were much higher than the previous year.
Historically, the Zeebrugge LNG terminal has facilitated the physical deliveries between suppliers and off-takers. Given the ever growing LNG market and the increasing amount of new downstream players, Fluxys wants to stimulate this market even further by creating a highly liquid small scale LNG hub through efficient terminal access possibilities powered by a digital trading place provided by Enmacc.

Chief Financial Officer Paul Tummers has decided to leave Fluxys as of July 1, 2019 to pursue other professional goals. He has worked for Fluxys since 2000 and has fulfilled various management positions in ICT, Regulatory & Strategy, Engineering & Construction, before taking on the role of CFO Fluxys Belgium and Fluxys SA in 2014. Fluxys has started the recruitment process for a new CFO.
