FluxSwiss - The emerging hydrogen economy
A hydrogen strategy is currently becoming an increasingly central topic in Swiss energy policy. The Energy Perspectives 2050+ published by the Federal Office of Energy in December include the subject of H2 for the first time.
Likewise, before Christmas, National Councilor Martin Candinas submitted a Postulate concerning hydrogen and the options for Switzerland (20.4709). Although reference is made both to the domestic production as well as the import of hydrogen, it does not yet provide for any concrete measures. Interested parties therefore discussed a very interesting article written by Christopher Jones, a renowned energy regulation specialist and former deputy EU director-general, who calls on Switzerland to act.
