Methane Number in Zeebrugge is consistently above 80

The Methane Number of the gas is of extreme importance for optimized engine operation.

When the Methane Number fluctuates the engine performance deviates from the optimum design condition and the engine can be affected (CIMAC - International Council on Combustion Engines).

Most engines have the best fuel efficiency for a Methane Number higher than 80 (EUROMOT - European Association for Industrial Engine Applications).
