Fexhe-le-Haut-Clocher-Flémalle

    Why this infrastructure?

A new 9.4 km high-pressure pipeline is required between Fexhe-Le-Haut-Clocher and Flémalle as part of the network reinforcement in the region to supply a.o. the Les Awirs site. This new pipeline is for the most part planned to be laid in parallel with the existing pipeline in the municipalities of Fexhe-Le-Haut-Clocher, Grâce-Hollogne and Flémalle, through to the road leading to the Château d'Aigremont. From that point on, the pipeline would follow a new route to the site of the existing power plant.

The construction of the pipeline is scheduled for spring 2023 at the earliest (after the permits have been obtained).

    Overview of the route

    Construction work postponed

Between the existing Fluxys facility in Fexhe-le-Haut-Clocher (Vieille Voie Romaine) and the Rue du Château d'Aigremont in Engis, Fluxys Belgium has had to postpone some pipe-laying and land-reclamation work. We are aware of the nuisance this may cause and apologise for any inconvenience.

Full restoration of the land is expected to be completed by September 2024. We are temporarily suspending these activities to ensure a quality result and minimise damage to the ground. We will make every effort to release the plots in question as soon as the conditions are right to restore them permanently.

    Consultation

Landowners and operators have their own point of contact at Fluxys, from the preliminary study of a project to the restoration of their land following the construction of a pipeline. This allows them to consult with someone familiar with their concerns and the features of their land from the outset.

    Virtual info session
