The NEL pipeline

The North European Gas Pipeline (NEL) accommodates downstream gas flows from the Nord Stream pipeline which brings additional volumes of Russian natural gas through the Baltic Sea to Europe. NEL allows extra volumes of gas from Siberia to be shipped into Northwest Germany and through its interconnections also opens the markets in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom to these additional supplies.
