14.08.2019During the first half of 2019, the number of ships docking at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal rose by 123% compared to the same period in 2018. Fluxys Belgium is also seeing a sharp increase in the number of LNG trucks loaded.

- Zeebrugge can store 386.000 m³ of LNG. Several types of storage are available depending on your needs or activities :
Basic storage capacity
Ideal for storing 140.000 m³ of unloaded LNG. It is included in our unloading slot.
The basic storage period spans 40 consecutive tides (10.3 days) and the basic storage volume 140.000 m³ of LNG (decreasing linearly over time).
Additional storage capacity
Ideal for storing large quantities of LNG (36.000 m³) in the long term (multiannual), in addition to basic storage capacity.
Please note that this storage capacity is sold on a long-term basis up to October 2023. However, you can reserve it via the secondary market by contacting terminal users with long-term contracts.
Residual storage capacity
Ideal for storing large quantities of LNG (30.000 m³) in the medium term (one month before the service), in addition to additional storage capacity.
Daily storage capacity – Gas excess
Storage capacity that has been reserved in the long but remains unused is sold on a daily basis.
Visit the Electronic Data Platform (EDP) to reserve the quantity you need, when you need it, subject to availability.
Transshipment storage capacity
Ideal for storing up to 180.000 m³ of LNG for a few days before rapidly (at a rate of 10.000 m³/h) reloading this LNG onto another LNG carrier.
Please note that this storage capacity is sold on a long-term basis up to 2039. However, you can reserve it via the secondary market by contacting terminal users with long-term contracts.
