Collaboration with the fire and police services

Sharing knowledge is the key

Pipeline diagrams

Every five years, local fire and police services are sent full details of all Fluxys pipelines present in their area. If new pipelines have been commissioned during this time or if the position of existing pipelines has altered significantly, the fire and police services concerned are automatically sent updated plans. The fire services also have access via an internet application to the numerical database of Fetrapi, the Federation of Pipeline Transmission Companies.

Course for fire brigades

In the Pipelines working group of the Federal Public Service Home Affairs’ Civil Safety Unit, Fluxys contributed in 2007 to a practical course about the Natural Gas Action Card and the accompanying manual.

In 2007 all fire brigade training officers had the chance to take this practical course. The aims of the course are for them to subsequently pass on what they have learned to the fire-fighters and for the Action Card to be made part of fire-fighters’ training.

Emergency and intervention plan

In the context of its guide to emergency measures in relation to pipelines used to transport gas and liquids, Fluxys is always willing to assist municipalities and provinces when drafting intervention plans.

Tips for using search operators

Use "quotation marks" to search for a series of words or a phrase in a specific order.

Boolean operators

You can find a group of words or a phrase by using the link words AND, OR and NOT:
known as Boolean operators, these words are used to combine terms in the search field.

  • AND: All the search terms must be included in the publication. Typing in Apple AND Pear will return publications containing both the word Apple and the word Pear.

  • OR :  At least one of the search terms must be included in the publication. Typing in Apple OR Pear will return publications containing either the word Apple or the word Pear or both.

  • NOT: The term preceded by NOT must not be included in the publication. Typing in Apple NOT Pear will return publications containing the word Apple but not the word Pear.
