Transmission services and models

A wide spectrum of transmission services

Fluxys offers a wide range of services both for domestic and border-to-border transmission of natural gas on its grid.

Fluxys’ basic offer of domestic transmission services comprises firm entry capacity and firm supply capacity as well as the basic flexibility required for managing the difference between the energy of gas System Users deliver at the entry points and the energy taken off the grid by their customers at supply points. This basic offer is completed by several other services which are either designed to allow System Users to optimize their portfolio or needed to supply certain customers.

Fluxys’ offer of border-to-border transmission services is basically composed of firm or conditional entry and exit capacity. Border-to-border transmission does not require flexibility – the volume of gas arriving on the grid at one point on the border immediately becomes available for offtake at another border point. This basic offer is also completed by several other services which are designed to allow System Users to optimize their portfolio, such as interruptible capacities.
