Reserving storage capacity with Fluxys and on the secondary market

Fluxys developed for the storage services as of the storage year 2012-2013 a new Standard Storage Agreement, a new Access Code for storage and a new Storage Programme. In agreement with CREG, a market consultation on these documents was carried out and the adjusted propositions were submitted to CREG for approval. The documents were approved by CREG on 24 November 2011.

Capacity allocation procedure

Grid users eligible for reserving storage services need to conclude a framework agreement for storage services known as a 'LSA' for Loenhout or a 'VSA' for Virtual Storage.

Reserving storage services with Fluxys: send a Storage Service Request Form

Grid users who have concluded a framework agreement for storage services can request storage services by returning a Storage Service Request Form to Fluxys.

 

Loenhout storage: available capacities

After the first allocation round for Loenhout storage services 15 April 2011 – 14 April 2012, the following standard bundle units and conditional injection/withdrawal capacities remain available to the market:

Virtual storage in 2011: easy natural gas parking and lending at any time

On 1 December 2010 Fluxys launched a binding market consultation for subscribing to a yearly contract for virtual storage services starting 1 January 2011. The virtual storage service offers system users an opportunity to optimize their portfolio according to gas price levels, to compensate for imbalances between their entry and exit gas flows and to boost the flexibility for domestic transmission.

Buying storage capacity on the secondary market: bulletin board

Fluxys facilitates trading of storage capacity on the secondary market by centralizing data for capacity that storage users wish to sell or purchase on a bulletin board.

Tips for using search operators

Use "quotation marks" to search for a series of words or a phrase in a specific order.

Boolean operators

You can find a group of words or a phrase by using the link words AND, OR and NOT:
known as Boolean operators, these words are used to combine terms in the search field.

  • AND: All the search terms must be included in the publication. Typing in Apple AND Pear will return publications containing both the word Apple and the word Pear.

     

  • OR :  At least one of the search terms must be included in the publication. Typing in Apple OR Pear will return publications containing either the word Apple or the word Pear or both.
