Zelzate compressor station: key link in natural gas transport
The compressor station in Zelzate is a key link in the natural gas transmission system for Belgium. The facility is capable of flowing around 36 million cubic metres of natural gas per day, i.e. more than 50 times the daily volume consumed by the inhabitants of a city the size of Ghent. Like our other four compressor stations, Zelzate is used to keep the pressure in our pipe network at the right level.
